Working With Boys Of Color Workshop: Culture, The Brain, and How Boys Learn
The Sims-Fayola Foundation is hosting the second workshop in the Working With Boys of Color Series for educators and those who are looking to increase their capacity to work with young men of color from our "Working With Boys of Color" workshop series on February 6th, 2018 at the University of Colorado Denver from 6:30pm-8:30pm. The workshop will be held at Student Commons Building at 1201 Larimer St. in room 2500. Join the hundreds of educators around the nation who have participated in this impactful workshop series. The cost of the workshop is $25 and 2 Continuing Education Units will be offered to all participants.

This workshop focuses on how the brain of boys are different than girls in forming, learning, and developing. This workshop asserts that an understanding of how boys process information is key to designing learning experiences that increase the likelihood of increased understanding from the young men. This workshop also focuses on how culture plays a part in the way the brain processes information. This is a fun workshop that navigates culture and physiology
