Fayola Civic Leadership Fellowship

Developing the Next Generation of Civic and Community Leaders

The Fayola Civic Leadership Fellowship is the Foundation's youth leadership and civic engagement initiative and serves as the youth voice component of the Sims-Fayola Policy & Advocacy Institute. The fellowship prepares high school juniors and seniors to understand how public systems work, engage in civic life, analyze community challenges, and contribute meaningful solutions to issues affecting boys and young men of color. Grounded in Vision 2030 and the Sims Framework, participants move beyond leadership awareness toward systems thinking, civic engagement, and policy influence.

Through monthly leadership experiences, mentorship, policy engagement, and a year-long capstone project, fellows build the knowledge, relationships, and confidence needed to become lifelong civic and community leaders.
